Vietnam – Cambodia Cassava Industry Cooperation Conference
On October 14, 2025, the Vietnam Cassava Association – Tay Ninh Branch, in collaboration with the Cambodia Cassava Federation, successfully organized a conference to implement the signing of a cooperation agreement on the direct procurement of fresh cassava roots from Cambodia. The event was held at the PLATIN Hall, SUNRISE Hotel.
The conference was chaired by Mr. Le Huu Hung, Vice President of the Vietnam Cassava Association and Chairman of Hung Duy Group, with the participation of representatives from the Cambodia Cassava Federation, Cambodian partners, tapioca starch manufacturers in Tay Ninh, and business representatives.
During the conference, participants exchanged insights and practical experience on sourcing and transporting fresh cassava roots from raw material areas to processing facilities, along with discussions on relevant regulations and policies. The parties also reached a consensus to proceed with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on direct procurement, aiming to establish a stable, efficient, and sustainable cross-border raw material supply chain between Vietnam and Cambodia.
The conference marks a significant step forward in enhancing trade efficiency within the Vietnam – Cambodia cassava sector, strengthening bilateral cooperation for regional economic development, and serving as a preparatory milestone for the upcoming Vietnam Cassava Industry Conference 2025.
The successful organization of the conference further reinforces the Vietnam Cassava Association’s role as a key industry connector, contributing to the development of a stable, integrated, and sustainable cassava value chain.
