At the inaugural congress of the Tay Ninh Tapioca Starch Producers Association for the 2026 – 2031 term, held in Tan Ninh Ward, Tay Ninh Province, Mr. Le Huu Hung was elected as Chairman of the Association. This milestone marks a significant continuation of his contributions in his entrepreneurial journey, with a vision to advance the sustainable development and global integration of the tapioca starch industry in Tay Ninh in the new era.

Over the years, in his roles as Chairman of Hung Duy Group and Vice President of the Vietnam Cassava Association, with strong credibility, leadership, and extensive international business experience, Mr. Le Huu Hung has actively promoted linkages and cooperation across the cassava value chain-from raw material sourcing and production to trade. He has also contributed to enhancing Tay Ninh’s position as the “tapioca starch production hub of Vietnam,” with more than 60 factories, creating employment for over 20,000 workers, consuming more than 10 million tons of fresh cassava roots annually, producing over 3 million tons of starch, and generating export turnover exceeding USD 1 billion each year.

Notably, he has effectively connected enterprises within Tay Ninh’s tapioca starch industry to successfully implement trade promotion programs and sign agreements for the procurement of 45 million tons of fresh cassava roots from Cambodia over five years (estimated at approximately USD 4 billion). This has positioned the local tapioca starch industry as an important economic bridge between Tay Ninh Province and international partners, particularly Cambodia.

At the congress, Mr. Le Huu Hung, on behalf of the Executive Committee, outlined the strategic directions for the 2026 – 2031 term, focusing on leveraging the province’s strengths as a processing and logistics hub, enhancing export value, generating additional employment, promoting international cooperation, and fostering the development of the border economy.

Hung Duy Group extends its sincere congratulations to the Chairman and wishes him continued success in embodying the spirit of a “passionate torchbearer” and exemplary leadership, further advancing the role of entrepreneurs in contributing to socio-economic development. Together with the Executive Committee of the 2026 – 2031 term, he is expected to lead the Tay Ninh tapioca starch industry toward greater growth and prosperity.
